Adult Archery Program: Our archery program features instruction in U.S. Olympic Archery, using the the coaching methods of current Olympic coach Kiseuk Lee. Instruction emphasizes the meditative effects of archery in order to increase the precision and accuracy of the student's shooting. Teaching at the complex takes a "Zen" approach to archery which focuses on clearing the mind and using measured breathing techniques to achieve a state of "one-ness" with the bow and target. Instructor George Kasper is a certified U.S. Archery Instructor level-II coach.
Junior Olympic Archery Development: The Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program has been designed by the U.S. Archery Association for children ages 8-18. This program features instruction in both recurve and compound bows, and youths enrolled in the program may participate in local and regional U.S. Archery Association tournaments. Additionally, children training in the recurve bow may try out for a position on the U.S. Olympic Archery team, which is choosen and managed by U.S.A. Archery. You can find more information on the official JOAD page here.
Instructor Profile: George Kasper is affiliated with and licensed as a level-II coach by the U.S. Archery Association since 2005. In addition to U.S. Olympic Archery, George is currently studying the art of kyudo, or traditional Japanese archery, under the lineage of Shibata Kanjuro XX, sensei.
