At the Martial Arts Complex, we offer training in the following independent programs:
Iaido: In addition to pure iaido, students in our Japanese swordsmanship classes also receive training in IAI-JUTSU. More advanced students may also choose to study TAMESHIGIRI,or cutting with Shinkin (Sharp Blade)
JuJutsu: Modern self defense focusing on joint-locking and throwing techniques. Defensive movements are designed to blend with and use the attacker's force against them so that little strength is needed. Learn more about our Jujutsu program
Zen Archery: The archery program features instruction in U.S. Olympic archery. Our approach focuses on applying zen concentration and mind-calming techniques to enhance the students' archery skills. In addition to competitive archery techniques, students learn breathing and meditation techniques while mastering the skills of drawing, aiming, and shooting the bow. Our archery program is certified by the U.S. Olympic Archery Association. Learn more about our archery program here.
